    Heatwave

    One for Tawny!

Got these in an email.. In Victoria the temperature has been above 44 degrees all week and they are forecasting another week of 40+ temperatures. Power is failing, trains have stopped running because tracks are buckling under the heat . It?s just scorching.

And it seems that the people are not the only ones suffering.

Check out these photos of a little Koala which just walked onto a back porch looking for a bit of heat relief. The woman filled up a bucket for it and this is what happened!

(Koalas are very shy creatures, are notoriously hard to find and definitely would never approach a house!!)

Thanks Fickle - poor little bugger.

In my neck of the woods, we got up to 50C.C (122F) Unbelievable.

I have bins of water on my verandah in case of bushfire and noticed each morning the bins were almost empty. Can only be kangaroos, desperate for a drink.

Heh heh.. i think he looks just like a little guy in a jacuzzi!
The look of relief & pleasure on his face is beautiful .. kind of like when your feet are burning and aching then you put them in cold water. Ahhhhh... a reprieve from hell
Man I am in such awe of all the creatures that managed to survive the heat. Hats off to Tawny, your buckets of water & all yer critters!!! So glad no fires for you & may it stay that way.

The little koala must have really been suffering.

That is just too cute for words!
Sometimes I wonder...."Why is that frisbee getting bigger?"...and then it hits me.
