Posted today in Saskatoon(?) Canada: A man in a patient's gown passed out and fell to the ground, unconscious, outside the emergency room doors of a city hospital. The hospital staff inside, who saw him fall or were immediately notified, called 911. When asked later for an explanation, hospital authorizties explained that by walking outside of the doors, the employees would become liable, might be injured since this was not in their job description, or might harm the victim since he was not on an appropriate gurney. Local officials were said to be contacting hospitals to explain the use of 'commen sense' in such cases. Good luck!
