Man on a Ledge
A crowd had gathered on the street, and they were all looking upward. A distraught man was standing on a ledge on the 10th floor of a building, threatening to jump. A Roman Catholic priest was walking down the street at that very moment, and he decided to intervene and try to save the man??.
Priest (pleading): Young man, please go back inside the window?think of all that you have to live for!
Man on Ledge (sarcastically): Like what? I have nothing to live for!
Priest: Think of the beauty of nature? the flowers and the trees?
Man on Ledge: I can?t stand being outdoors- I have hay fever!
Priest: Well then? think of your wife and your children?.
Man on Ledge: Who do you think it was who drove me to do this in the first place?!
Priest: Then son, just think of our beloved New York Yankees? think of how wonderful it would be to see them win at the stadium this Saturday!
Man on Ledge: I can?t stand the Yankees- I?m a Red Sox fan!
Priest: WELL GO AHEAD AND JUMP THEN!!!
