    Smelly smelly

I've been more or less AF for a while now and have noticed that I smell things much more than I used to. All kinds of things, including alcohol, of course, but also odours from everything from cooking to people's breath. Has anyone else experienced this?
(and does it scare you to think what others have smelled on you?)

I've heard an American expression about "too much information"-- could that apply here?

That would definately be TMI, Beatle FUNNY

Yes maybe we are just aware of the smells now because we're just more aware in general.

Absolutely. I think back when I would go into work hung over and wonder now if people could smell the alcohol from my skin. Because I know when someone else has had a long night. Especially after listening to the audio CD of "Dry" and he talks about that.

                Hey Beatle, Purp,

How long AF did it take before you noticed this effect - I have had a very poor sense of smell for as long as I can remenber - but then again - I have been drinking to excess for as long as I can remember

for me it only took about a week AF. Especially for alcohol-- I can smell someone from across the room who has had one beer earlier...really makes me wonder what others have smelled on me. (chagrined)

                    Thanks Beatle,

I am moderating - and so usually go for a maximum of 1 week without at least some alcohol.

Perhaps I need to try being AF for longer - It would be nice to wake up and smell the coffee - in so many ways!
