    My Daughter is getting ready for OTAKON

    Those that know what I'm talking about know that this has to do with Japenese Anami. It's a convention. It last for about 3 days. I have all these people in my house dressed in various outfits of their faviorite charchters ! I look up & down my hood & hope nobody can see these kids ! Anyway can any of you understand what I'm going thriugh. IAD!

    Yes and no.

    Yes for other things that kids like to do and get involved with.
    No 'cos I never heard of otakon before. !!

      I never heard of it either. Where does it take place? Is there a website about it?
      Can you tell your neighbors it's a practice Holloween if they ask?

          Thier is this group of kids that relly get into Japanese Anami. There's movies, comics, dvd's. Anyway there all kinds of Anamai Charchters. From bezzare creathers, vampires, wizards . etc. Well once a year they have this convention down in Baltimore (MD) and all these people that are involved with this industry come together to promote or sell thier piticular Anamai. (Pictures, dvd's, etc.) It's a big racket......but the kids love it. ( I mean teenage kids) They do have a website I belive it's OTAKON.com. These kids need to dress up like thier favorite chachters. It can really get kind of crazy, Ya it's kind of like Halloween in JULY. IAD

              sounds like fun anyway. probably good and wholesome too, right? (unlike sturgis-- those kinky clothes, you know).

                  Sounds harmless to me. At least she isn't drinking!
