Yip, sure did..............felt bloomin` fantastic to stand at the top of `the mountain` hollerin` to you all how I was reborn and was sure I had `this thing` licked once and for all...............well, sure did acquire some mighty fine bruises as I toppled to the bottom of same mountain!!!

Feel such a fraud `cos I`ve failed AGAIN.............and sure as Hell can`t kid myself.........more`s the pity!!!!!

Hey Star.....put some raw meat on those bruises and brush yourself off...we're still hiking up that mountain together....my bruises are still healing after my last slip down that damn mountain. Just start day 1 over and you are on your way to the top again....see you over at the 30 day thread my friend!

Star, I'm starting with you again today, you inspired me so much the other day, its ok, been there, done that too...so just start over, you ARE NOT A FRAUD...this isn't for Sissies, and we'll have bad days on the way to the top of the mountain, but we'll hold hands and try not to fall and band ourselves off too much...I'm right with you today, we can do this!!!

Hey Star how many AF days did you have under your belt? If you had a one day slip I don't think you should start at day 1, unless you feel more comfortable doing that. It's such an AA mentality and so much pressure. :h

Mountain range here I come!!!!!!!!!

O.K...........it`s 10.30 pm here.........popped offending btl./Char. at 7..........feel half sozzled yet sober enough, so am digging out my climbing boots.......that darn `mountain` had better be set for my determined ascent in the morning!!!!

Know one thing now FOR CERTAIN...........tomorrow I have to stop drinking period..........no more kidding myself about the beautiful concept of "Mods."...........there ain`t no such a thing for the likes of me.

Only one thing still puzzling me..........anyone got a road map of the `mountain` ??? ha ha ha ha ha

Because the keyboard is a teetotaler and mixes up the keys when it sees u drunk. I'm starting AF again Monday, hon. I was bruising myself for a good long time after achieving 33 days AF. So I'll find my hiking boots before Monday and get ready to hike w/u then!:l

Why do you think we all holler and jump up and down when we hit even 4 or 5 or, in my case, only 6 AF days? BECAUSE IT AIN'T EASY! We all slip and fall, but we keep getting up again.

Glad to hear you have your boots back on. More power to you.

Hey. This mountain range has lots of peaks and valleys. You have climbed lots of peaks lately. ( I hope you took photos to remind yourself of just how far you've travelled.)

It sounds like you hit a scree. There are a few around and they're really slippy.

I've had a few scree falls myself. but at the bottom I think about how it felt to stand at the top with wonderful views all around and the wind blowing freely through my hair taking worries away with it.

Then I lace up my boots and start up the next peak. Glad you are doing that too. You seem like one determined mountaineer to me.

PS. Don't forget to take along plenty of water. Climbing mountains is strenuous.
