I'm merely verbalizing my frustration at your need to put down your posts, my dear! I would never act upon those verbalizations! Sorry if I inadvertantly scared you.:l :l

WHAT FEELS GOOD?
Gabby: I don't have nearly as much sobriety as you do...(20 days today), but I am already thinking about mod even though I have tried upteen times & have failed. As I've said before, I do not have an "off" switch. My goal is 30 days. I will then really feel qualified to join the 30 day abs forum. After that, I'll set another abs goal (probably another 30 days, as you did).
When I reevaluate my life & see how changed I am in this very short 20 day abs stint, I do not want to go back to:
-blackouts & hangovers.
-sneaking drinks.
-slurred speech.
-guilt & anxiety.
-etc.
What I want is what I have now:
-being in the moment.
-a sense of humor.
-clarity.
-peace-of-mind.
-etc.
You get the picture. I try to weigh the pros & cons of drinking. Not drinking wins hands-down. Thank you so much for your insights. They made perfect sense to me. MaryWisdom, Courage, Strength

Mary,
the "what I want's and what I have now's" that you listed are the good things to grab on to hand hang on tight.
My advice is to do that.....keep on goin with your 30 days.....commit to anther 30 days......and dont look back!Gabby :flower:
