Another post in General for me.
My fitness program is going well, and I have a real good rush of motivation here lately. As I have written in long-term, things seem to be on a real ramp up here lately. A lot of things coming together, and feeling real good.
So, I ran almost 4 miles last Saturday, and I now have resolved to get to 6 miles (a 10K) by the end of this year. I'm convinced that I need to now lose 15 to 20 lbs of weight in order to do this, because I can really feel it's effects after 2 or 3 miles going up those hills.
An email friend from another forum, has successfully lost almost 40 lbs since last May by doing Atkins program. She has tried exercise alone, and did not get much success. I know at least 5 other people who have had great success with the Atkins method as well.
So I am preparing for the induction phase of Atkins to lose my gut anchor. My BMI is almost at 25, so I'm not overweight, but I want to get down to 23 or 22 to get into better running shape.
Anyone here with experience and/or success by doing Atkins??
Neil
