Hmph!
You know, I have heard every slang word there is used in reference to the anatomical area in question. Now from an engineers (or perhaps doctors perspective)!
The vagina, is technically the inner structure, or canal leading to the cervix, which is the gateway to the womb.
Actually the exterior female genitalia is called the vulva.
See dictionary.com definition...

Now, have you ever heard anyone in public refer to aformentioned female body area as the vulva?
I thought so.....

Up here in Canada those parts (generic term for either male or female parts) is "privates". Most other names such as pussy, etc., are considered sorta offensive, but vagina or vulva is too technical. Most "polite" people call refer to their "privates" i.e. short for "privates".The furture lies before you like newly fallen snow - be careful how you tread it, for every step will show.

Hi all,
The first post referred to a "bum" and a "fanny". I always thought that those words referred to the "butt" (the backside). I don't really think there is an acceptable term for the "vajayjay" amongst American women (although "vajayjay" is the most common term I've heard amongst American girls chitchatting amongst themselves). I don't have anything funny to add, but I have to say your many insights caused me to laugh outloud repeatedly!

Personally - my favourite is "Yoni"
A Sanskrit word - means "sacred passage" and used as a term of reverence rather than having the rather irreverent or smutty connotations many of today's words have.
