I am happy to be sobber and posting....I wish for everyone the best success in the world. This site has been a life saver for me. Play nice... treat everyone as you would want to be treated and post your little hearts away!!!! This type incident is few and far between.

I can relate, as I am one person that RJ temporarily banned from posting. I was banned from posting a couple months after I joined in 2005. I had not been following many of the aspects of MWO and I was struggling big time. I had lots of responses to my threads as I was a very active member at the time. I didn't accept most advice that others had given to try to help me, and was detrimental to me as well as to others who were trying to embrace the program. It was a HUGE wake up call for me. I was off here for a week at the time and did lots of soul searching and grew a lot during that time.

Reading this about Rachel is also another wake up call as I have been on a bad path lately although not to the extent I was in 2005. If there are any members here from that time they will remember. Anyway, RJ deserved a big thank you from me then and I don't know if I gave it to her, but then again now to make me see that I'm not doing what I need to do to get better.

I've started reading MWO again and just as amazed with the material as I was when I first read it almost 2 years ago.

I totally agree with RJ and respect the decision and totally agree with Starlight and would like to join in with everyone and say a big thankyou to MWO for putting me in touch with alot of caring individuals whose help and advice has been invaluable to me.

I am sorry that Rachel has been caught up in something that has caused her to be excluded. I did wonder what had happened to her as she was having a bad time and I was genuinely concerned that something awful had happened to her. I do hope that the ban isn't permanent as she was there for me when I needed someone and only showed me warmth and compassion. Welcome back Marcie!

I was a little shocked when I discovered that Rachel was expelled from posting .I had been looking for her posts for a while and was wondering what happened to her. However I have no doubt R.J. had very good reasons to make her come to such a decision and she will always have my respect for providing us with this wonderful site. Thank you R.J. and good luck to you to Rachel ,it sounds like you are making great progress and I respect you for that as I realise you were in a very bad place. Love to you all...

I just want to mention that MWO continues to play an important role for Rachel as she keeps in touch privately with a number of the members who she met through MWO-- they support her much in the same way as the MWO site did, and she also keeps up on everyone else here by reading posts! AND she is close to sober. Now if if that's not a tribute to MWO (and RJ) I don't know what is!

I don't know anything about Rachel. I DO however know about anther member that was banned. All she was - was disruption to the site. I was my usual soft hearted self that saw the good in her and sympathized with the messed up side of her and wanted to help her. There really is good in everyone but we all know it is their responsibility to exercise it and not let the problems in their life spread all over everyone else. In her case spread all over the world.

There were others that tried to help her. And RJ was so patient. But she was way more of a detriment then the site could take. And many people could take.

I myself needed the reminder that ya just cant help everyone. That you can't save people from themselves. They gotta deal with themselves and they gotta save their own self.

Just like our own children, ya gotta let them fall and maybe hit the bottom so they can hopefully see it. It hurts you but you gotta do it. WE carry a heavy heart like RJ said....and like I know too. But its just the way it is. And it hurts that person - and a lot more people along the way if we keep to tryin to save them.

So when RJ bans anyone from the site....believe me even tho we may not get it......it needed to be done.

I have seen, done and been told about a lot of things... many I would be upset about, or query or disagree with, but having had further dealings with RJ, I have to put my hands up and say that she has good judgement and is concerned about the members here.

I would not like to be in her position to do the things she has to do, but she is an excellent judge of character and we don't always know everything on here......of what goes on at other times or behind the scenes etc and she has (as Memarcie points out) asked people to leave and then reconsidered after judging all evidence and reviewing the situation..
