    Hubby got canned today and i have no job

    Just thought I'd vent..We are both out of work now and I am super stressed. Our health insurance is allegedly ending next month so I am scrambling to get Sophie's doc visits, plus my own and hubby's. This so sucks and we have never BOTH been out of work at same time.
    He was gonna quit when I finally got a job because the job was so bad. :upset:
    Sunny days, sweeping the, clouds away. On my way, to where the air is sweeeet!!! Can you tell me how to get, how to get to......LOL

      Crap, this is awful. I take it you are both reasonably employable (despite having red hair)? One of you can get SOMETHING short term, surely?

        I am sorry Happy. I would be a stress case too. Think as positive as you can about the impending interview you have. Envision yourself having the job. It can happen. Sending you the best......

          I am so tired of this employment rollercoaster. Not having insurance with an any kid, never mind an autistic kid, makes you want to work at Starbucks. UGH!

          And Flip shut it I defended you today leave my hair alone. I am so fat now too.

            Bugger. That's bad news... i hope you have some savings? I really feel for people in America, having to pay for their health insurance etc.

            Have you tried registering with an employment agency?

            Think positively for the interview
            One day at a time.. Sometimes it's one minute or one second at a time.. Most important thing is to look ahead and don't look back!

                  So sorry to hear that Camper. Doesn't he get unemployment benefits if he is fired? Don't you get some kind of basic health care without insurance in the US? I don't know how it works there, but I can't imagine you are allowed to just die in the streets if you lose your job. Anyway, really really sorry for you but I'm sure something will come along and this will have just been a little blip in the big picture. We're all here for you-- so vent away.

                      I am so sorry to hear that Campers. Unfortunately although I worked in the Jobcentre in the UK I am of no help to you as I don't know how the system works in US.

                      Do you have recruitment agency that you could join?

                        Am sorry to hear you`ve hit a rough patch, but you`re a strong woman.........you`ll come through this, because you have to...........for Sophie and yourselves.
                        Sometimes our situations can look so bleak, and yes, it may be a cliche, but I really do believe "every cloud has a silver lining"........things will look up, you`ll see..........focus on the job interview you have pending and give it your all. Saying a wee prayer for your family, Happy.

                          Hey Happy!

                          Yes, the employment roller coaster, I'm eternally on it. My GF is working overtime (12 hours a day) dealing with a suicidal GF and we're in debt up to our eyeballs. Our unemployment rate is 43% and with more refugees and zimbabweans (can't call them refugeees lest we "offend" precious Mugabe) that percentage is going up.

                          THink positive, visualise yourself working and just keep going forward. good luck.

                            So sorry about the career situation. I know the stress, this happened to my husband and I about 10 years ago, it was a tough time.

                            BUT, we got through it!!!

                            Good luck with your job interview and stay strong.
