Our regional burn is one of my favorite events of the year. Several of the folks I camp with are non-drinkers or take-it-or-leave it type drinkers. And next year, I'll be one of them!
An alcohol-free burn means that you're sober enough to make blowtorch quesadillas for everyone else at 3 AM, or wrassle with the generator to ensure that the music stays on until dawn.
Of course, being sober will also mean that I'll feel every little bump and pebble as I go head-first down the slip-n-slide next year. I'm still doing it, though!
