You know you have my donation coming as a parent in your shoes. I wish we had the room for a dog.
What kind of dog will you be getting. Are certain breeds trained for this? I really hope you get the money, you deserve it so much. I don't understand why this is not subsidized but I guess it has not been fully recognized by our stupid gov't yet. :h

Happy I am not sure what kind of dog yet. However I get to request the size and weight etc so I requested a lab or golden. I see that they have many german shephards as well and I would be fine with that.

Re names, I have been giving this some serious thinking time and think that Rover (or whatever the dog's official name is) Bluebelllushyluck has a certain ring to it. Don't you think?

Anyway, I'll leave you to mull that one over.

A book I have mentioned here before, Angel Animals - Exploring our spiritual connection with animals by Allen and Linda Anderson is just such a great book to read if anyone is a bit skeptical about human/animal connections. Not so much skeptical but don't understand how important these relationships are. I thought so anyway.

I was thinking of you after I got my nails done and I felt really bad because I knew the money could go to better use. Actually, I felt bad because Lucky hates nails because she thinks they have germs. She already told me that twice when I was a newbie and I never forget things.

Bluebelllushylucklilac, now that is quite the name for the dog. I would have to work with Alec for about 10 years to say that not to mention myself. Of course then I would have to incorporate all the names that were mentioned before as well.
Happier, we will get the new dog when we are done fundraising and done with the 2 weeks of training.
That is so funny about the nails and that you remembered Lucky telling you that.
