We had a great meeting today with his school and they have realized we need to work with Alec in "his world" instead of trying to get him to do the traditional school projects. It was a great meeting.
I also talked to them about the service dog and it coming to school with him. The principal and the teachers are in full support and are even donating as well. This is such a great time.
Thank you all again for your support. I am so excited that maybe in one, small US town that the face of autism will change opinions and open minds.

And no problem with Alec calling the dog "Lushy" in school? I know others wanted the name to be Bluebelllushlucklilac but Lushy would be the best nickname I think, and easier for him to say.

So glad they are open minded and even contributing. I think that is just wonderful!!!

It all sounds very positive with the school. To have their support must be a huge relief.

Lushy is harmless and I know that she would be my poster girl if I needed her to be. She talks a big game Um, love ya Lushy.

If people can't donate, I so understand that, then I just want them to be more aware and understanding of autism.

The latest numbers are 1:150 children are being diagnosed with autism. This is something to take note of considering people world wide will be affected.
