NYC Meeting Feedback
Hi Everybody: There is so much to say about today's meet up in NYC. I just want to start with, "I'm touched by the people I met today". Everyone was as genuine and as sincere in person as they are when reading their posts. There was a couple of times when I got choked up. I think it's because I was amazed that I met these wonderful people through MWO and that we share similiar struggles. I don't wish this addiction with alcohol on anyone. Meanwhile, I'm sure the others will fill you in on how our day went. We definatley shared some humorous stories and laughed alot. No doubt our waitress thought we were nuts. - ReenieSeptember 23, 2011Tags: None

Thanks Reenie
We definitely had a BLAST! We were all instantly best old friends. I am exhausted as I have had a very long week and just got home an hour ago. We will fill you in on some funny stories of what some of us like to steal. :H And yes, our waitress definitely thought there was something very wrong with us, but she was good natured about it. Even when we all jumped up from the table and all went suddenly running out the restaurant together saying - "we'll be right back." And then when we asked her to take a picture of us, she really thought we had lost it.
I posted our group photo in the gallery - remarkable how we all look so similar!!!! I also put in a few shots of our exploits in Central Park.
I must go now - exhausted and have work to do. Thanks so much to Reenie, Trixietrack, Lucky, and HappyCamper for sharing a wonderful day with me.Rest in Peace, Bear. We miss you.

Just click back one or two pages to the My Way Out Forums page. Scroll down almost to the very bottom of the page to the Photo Gallery and click on that. When you are in the Gallery, click on Newest Uploads. That should do it.Rest in Peace, Bear. We miss you.

Good Morning Happy Camper: It was great seeing you again yesterday. It was a pleasure meeting your husband and Sophie. What a precious little girl. She resembles you a great deal. I love her curls. It was also wonderful meeting Lucky, Mags and Trixietrack, and spending the day with you all. Mags: Thank you for setting our "meet up" in motion. It was a great time. Please consider planning another one in the near future. Thank you for posting our picture! Not only did I laugh at the photo of us, but I cracked up at the photo of the Violin Man. What a character! - ReenieSeptember 23, 2011

I'll bet that photo had more hits than a porn site when we all thought we were going to see a pic of Lucky! I should have known better.
Glad you had a good time. I'm jealous - wish I could have been there. Maybe at a future meeting.

you beat me reenie by starting this thread first. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and yes I will agree that our waitress thought we were a strange bunch of cleptomaniacs.
the day couldn't have been a nicer one.
thank you for the memories

Yepper,
No doubt the waitress knew we were nutters. We couldn't decide on how to handle the bill, she overheard us talking what we like to "steal" (my big one is Splenda from Starbucks but I'll let the other girls fill you in on their strange quirks- these girls like to steak some weird stuff!).
We all ran out of the restaurant so everyone could see my hubby and daughter double parked outside of the restaurant and then the waitress was nice enough to take that silly pic of us. It was a great time and everyone was awesome. :hSunny days, sweeping the, clouds away. On my way, to where the air is sweeeet!!! Can you tell me how to get, how to get to......LOL

Whenever I can, I seize the opportunity to take a large bundle of quality papertowels (hand napkins) from ladies room. I usually find these papertowels in nice restaurants and hotel lobbies. The Borgata in Atlantic City has really great papertowels. I recently stuffed my pocketbook full with them. They are now proudly displayed in my powderroom for my guests to use. It saves me a lot of money having not to buy them at Bed, Bath & Beyond.September 23, 2011
