    For now, this review from the internet about Cafe Mode (but who can know, maybe they had a bone to pick?)--This is just a review among many...

    I truly am gobsmacked at the reviews this place (Cafe Mode) has received. Just to brief you down, i eat out often with my friends and restaurants i rate include Jakarta's and Silom Thai in Ealing (check their marks for clarification).

    This is without any shadow the worst restaurant I've ever eaten in, and I don't say that lightheartedly.

    I really do not know where to start, from service to food the place is truly on another level of poorness.

    I can only assume that the owners friends have logged on and bigged the place up. Reading the reviews it seems the owner is pretty generous with the odd free tipple here and there - must undoubtedly be a guilty conscience for the rubbish he's serving up.

    I could detail my entire experience, but really it'll end up being a novel. Take my word the service is awful, the food is second rate and the atmosphere is non existent. Do not under any circumstances dine at this hellhole

                      a) I assume that means you are in (I hope so!)??? (or are you just being very gracious and helping us find a place?)

                      b) I have been researching places by internet (as it is 7 years since I was last in London). I have found some good sites where people (plebians like me) review the restaurants. I am looking for something reasonable in prices, interesting, and MOST importantly, somewhere that we will all feel comfortable in, sitting, relaxing, chatting. This means it must be a relaxed atmosphere, not too crowded, chaotic, hectic. So, I was just wondering if Browns is a kind of place like that?

                      Anyway, I will be back tonight with some of the places I found... stay tuned

                            Hey, the client bought tickets for me to NY and only two are showing up to see me. You don't hear ME complaining!! :H

                            However, I am very jealous of you guys. I would love to sit in Covent Gardens (never been there) and chat with all of you. Some of my favorites are gonna be there!! :l

                            I hope you have lots of fun. Post pictures, even if you feel you must hide your faces.
