There is a different dynamic that goes on for those of us that have had success and then lose it. I am thankful for the success I had...because at least I know and understand what it is that I want. Without some sort of success how does one know what it can be like on the other side? We know. And that is why we want to get there so badly. We actually know that the grass is greener on the other side. It is up to us to decide to when to walk on over there again. Lets face it...this shitty side of the grass will always be waiting for us if we want it again. But we can walk to the other side whenever we want.

Marcie,
We've been on here a long time together. I have not had the best time lately to. Hubby lost his job and we are both unemployed. I missed him so much while he was working 60 hours a week but now that he is home my drinking has escalated a bit. I am a broken record, he is a wine specialist for a living and may be buying a wine store before the holidays. To own our own business is very stressful because it's always a gamble but to topple it with the type of store is ridiculous. It's stressful to say the least and i think I am getting a flu/cold.

On the upside, we went to Sophie's school tonight for an Open House and she is doing so well. They almost decided to transition her into a more advanced preschool class but decided against it after they assessed the other kids. They were a little too advanced for her and didn't want to screw her up. She is like the Mayor of the school, everyone loves her because (I am biased BUT) she is so beautiful and such a hoot, and is making such strides. They can't stop talking about her and about how awesome and adorable she is. I think her lead teacher wanted to keep her. She is finally talking and really trying hard. Teacher told us today she said a 3 word sentence, "I want Goldfish" (the crackers). Huge deal.

When she was sick last week and didn't go to school for 4 day her gruff but sweet bus driver (named ROGER HAHA) called us on Wednesday to see how she was feeling. I mean, the bus driver! You should hear this guy's Brooklyn accent, he said "she's just too damned cute and was worried". The school gave us very promising info for kindergarten next year. If she advances as well as she has over the past six months she will be in very good shape. They also said she can be very sarcastic which is a huge deal because it means she has a sense of humour. That is something that cannot be taught. We are feeling very good about this right now but won't know until spring what their recommendations are.

Hey Marcie, I'm sorry your having a bad day. I feel you for I'm going through the worst time of my life. Thanks to all who have made me feel better. I love this site, so many wonderful people who like me don't realize they are special, and so many others who came to that realization through such hard work.

Karma, I think you are right about those of us who've had success and then lose it. It's hard to accept that I'm having the same issues that I had well over a year ago with such a long time of success in between. I have to start over which is hard. I'll do it though, with all of you here to learn from. I guess we all have to watch ourselves for the rest of our lives and not become complacent in trying to fight this problem.

Patty, yea we've been around a long time huh? You think we'd have learned how to do this by now.

yes, I have been here a long time too. We can't ever give up...sometimes, just at the worst of times, it is the brink of "getting it". Maybe the point we get "sick and tired" enough of this that something clicks and we are able to make that turn and start to get some success.

I am sorry last night was bad. I know how much that sucks...But today is a new day, and we are all here for you. Today can be better. :h :h
