    Nausea

Don said what I was going to say. Ginger Ale, yea. Ok, I will add Ritz crackers- if you can eat.

Another thing is an over-the-counter medicine called pepsin or something like that. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Sleep is best, but you can't always get that, eh? All the best to you Star.

        Nausea

Hey Star....you know sometimes it's tense legs!! Yes, really....they connect into the tummy...so lie/sit and really, really, really let go in your legs and hips....if your tum starts rumbling that is a very good thing - it's the tum letting go...

Also, thumb-stroking from bottom of your sternum (under your bra strap at the front) down to your navel, right thumb over left one after the other.... soothes the tum too....

Might be the zinc....I've just started but am OK bt we're all different...also might be a cold coming as catarrh starts in the tummy and the glands there can get sore before a cold breaks out...

Whatever love, hope you feel better soon - my 'favourite' as you know....eeek! Vic- NO!!! I nibble crystalized ginger...

        Love and cyber-hug, FMF xx

            Thanks all.
Gumby, I seriously think it must be the zinc that`s made me ill right enough.
Worst part is..........I am never, ever sick, so am such a baby. :bigcry:

                Hope you are feeling better!

Zinc is great but maybe best to take in the morning after a good breakfast or if you don't have much for brekky after lunch.

                    Nausea

                    Good morning guys.
Am not long up.........kinda scared to tempt fate by saying this, but am feeling a lot better this morning.........tummy is still a little delicate but I no longer constantly feel like I need to throw up. lol

Have thrown out my zinc capsules........I read up on all the benefits of zinc, but think my stomach just can`t tolerate it.

                    Thanks for all your advice,

                      Nausea

Hey Northern Light (!) - glad you're feeling better. Best not fight the body; it seems to know zinc isn't for you - maybe you don't actually need it? Your body saying you're doing ok for it? You've possibly got enough in your particular diet.
                      Have a good Monday...

                        Nausea

                        Star,

Glad you are feeling better!! Hate nausea myself. Ick.

Yes, it could be the zinc, I suppose. Here is what I found:

Elevated intake of zinc (1- 2 gram per day) over an extended period can actually harm your immune system instead of assisting it. Intake of zinc should be kept to under 100 mg per day as larger amounts may result in nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness and hallucinations.

If you wish to take a zinc supplement, rather take it at night on an empty stomach, as zinc can interfere with the absorption of other minerals such as copper and iron. In a multi-vitamin situation, make sure that the zinc and iron is nearly in the same amounts.

Large intakes of zinc can cause nausea and diarrhea

                        Love you,
                        Cindi

                          Nausea

Hope you're feeling better Star. It must be going around at MYO. I have a yucky tummy and a migraine. And I never get migraines. It woke me up at midnight. My head and tummy hurt.
Now my tummy hurts more after hearing some of these remedies.
