Hi guys! Yup, still DFD.....

Judie....hey....don't go anywhere please?!?!?! I have a hunch that a bug, Crimbo and a little too much 'hanky panky' with ol' Capt. Morgan there has gotten you a bit down? It'll lift....hang in there....no way are you a thread killer; it's just Christmas I am sure!

Me, a few half glasses of wine/soda...one meal at a time...left most of them....and if my glass was filled up before I could say no thanks, I just didn't want it and left it. I am so very lucky... no desire to drink more - yet I will always say yet!?!?! Ever wary me and no arrogant stuff! (I hope!) 'Presumption is the mother of all f*** ups' and all that! One f. up I don't want to see again thank you!!!

But had a lot of drinkers around me with incredible responses.....a girl with obvious 'ishoos' about ithe stuff. A friend of hers talking AA for her (*), a doctor guy who thinks 1-2 bottles of wine every night is normal (as in that's what he has. She more.) and that this girl had 'some issues' but that alcohol had 'nothing to do with it'..... (she couldn't stand up or speak all day = again....?!) And me and my aunt sipping very slowly on not a lot! Bit ironic you must admit!! (* I felt bad about not mentioning MWO?....I find it hard....it is important to me to be here and keep it 'quiet' in the family/friends bit (no body knows and actually few ever 'thought'....) and anyway, is it right that unless the actual girl herself asked for help I shouldn't/needn't mention it??? I wasn't going to mention it to her 'rescuing, rather overbearing psychiatrist friend' anyway!!!)

So's.......Happy End of 2007 to all...... and a truly hopeful, peaceful, wonderful 2008 and most expecially a smooth DFD ride through the end of year celebrations!

Jude you can't leave! You've been here almost as long as me! I'm not a DFDer anymore since my work party a couple weeks ago. Was doing well after that until last night, when I had a bit too much.

FMS - I know what you mean about telling family/friends about MWO. My hubby knows about this wonderful place, but no one else. I would be a bit uncomfortable with others that I know reading and posting. I'm really glad hubby never comes on here either, it's my own private place and I do share bits and pieces from here with him.

I'm still here. Didn't mean to be the squeeky wheel last night. Just had a tuff night @ work... and coming up on 2 yrs here... just a lot of mixed emotions going on I guess.

I really do need watch myself when I get my feelings hurt though. Last night @ work the Mgr, who is also a friend of mine... Was in a really bad mood. At one point I asked a question (regarding some of my tips from a huge bill that was paid by the electric co., since this last storm...I served about 30 of those guys myself & got NOTHING!) So I wanted to know if the company had paid up & they'd tipped or "stiffed" us.
To make a long story short... she snapped @ me & tossed me an envelope. like I was out line asking about it! It pissed me off! It was only 10% anyway,...but at least it something. Pricks. They get their dinner paid for & not a single one of them could fork out a $ for a friggin tip! $254 worth of steak & prawns! That was a month ago. I get taxed on my sales! Such is life sometimes. Too bad I don't get a discount when my power goes out...
Ok Enough with the rant. Thanx ...I feel better.

But I sure felt like doing a shot of 2 of quervo when she tossed that envelope @ me like that! That was totally uncalled for!

That's OK, BB!! It was good to send greetings to you anyways!!

Howz we all doing? Just got back form a fabulous early evening get-together....evensong, carols around the tree - both in the Cathedral - and then, like all good healthy musicians.....straight to the pub!!! (And that's OK; not all musicians drink, there were lots of Cokes and juices!)

It was wonderful - like I used to years ago: loads of talk about music and various musicians-who-we've-known....it's a small world! And now we're onto the next generation!! My daughter and her buddies - who are amazed at the people I used to socialise/sing with coz they are now their heroes! (and old!)

And I had a small glass of wine with soda and took 2 hours over it, came home, am dealing with a REALLY tired and crabby 18 year old (aaaaaaagh!) and still don't want any more! Yea! A brill end of a year!

Right, we have been ORDERED to watch a film 'AS A FAMILY' (by said daughter) and I am too tired to argue!! (Good Will Hunting....)
