well, my beloved. that is truly a yummy reason to have eggnog with out the extra added stuff. so very precious indeed. well, i can count 3 reasons that are snoring at my feet right now.
poipu, lula and fajita. my angel dogs from heaven...
how about a little etry.....
making memories that are lasting and pure
what is this enchantment of holidays that so do allure?
giving grace and tender kisses under the pale moonlight
swept away in the dance of dawns promise to reignite
my heart is full and open for all those i love
thank you for such innocence
this season in sobriety and the universe's magical charms from
under, over and way way up above

Hippie, my beautiful, brilliant, red-headed "Reason" has that EXACT same naked baby doll!! She named her Gretchen years ago.
Now she'll be growing into a woman the next several years, and I want to offer her, in myself, the example of a solid, healthy, generous, life-loving, competent, confident and joyful woman.
I raise my mug of tea to all our glorious Reasons!!

What a sweetie! Look at those eyes.
They grow so quickly, two out of my 3 over 6 ft now!
My reason is that the big lumps are more trouble and need more help now than they ever did! Their problems have also got bigger with them! I need to be sober to be HERE NOW for them and my parents.
