Charlee: I love: "What will this (drinking) accomplish?" Thank you for that. In the 66 days I've been sober, I've gotten through a few thorny problems wo/booze. Every time I do that, I flex some kind of internal coping muscle. The next time won't be so difficult. I remember a time when someone would look at me wrong or offend me in some small way, I immediately want to suck down a bottle of wine. That became a very bad habit. Mary

Hi all. I think the time to quit is the moment you feel the urge to - I don't think it works to "pick a date" because if your "Aha" moment passes, and you don't stop right there and then, who knows if your resolve will be there on the future date you picked?The furture lies before you like newly fallen snow - be careful how you tread it, for every step will show.
