Success rate and rehabs and Lenair Center
I have some inside info about Passages. I know someone who works there. Unfortunately, their success rate is not based on actual followup on clients. On top of that, they have a vast number of repeat customers. This is not to put Passages down; it is a great place. However, it is no better as far as success rate than any other rehab, such as Promises (also in Malibu), Malibu Horizon (a lovely place where I spent time and much money in 2006), or even Cri Help. Doing 90 meetings in 90 days is a far less expensive way to go. But then you have to buy into the whole AA thing. If you have the money, and it sounds like you do, I can't recommend the Lenair Healing Center in Vermont enough. They claim - and I think it's accurate because they have an actual follow up protocol - to have a 95% success rate. My bf and I went to Vermont to see Rhonda Lenair in early September and have not had a drink since, nor a desire. The experience totally changed our lives. There is no withdrawal and no 12 steps to follow. You just don't drink anymore. It is effortless and truly a miracle. We did have to fly to the East Coast and rent a car and drive up to a remote area of Vermont but it was worth it beyond my wildest dreams. My prayers were finally answered. I believe the cost is now about $3000. We did have to wait about 2 months for an appointment and I drank like a fish the whole time but when our appointment time arrived, my drinking life vanished forever. Happy Holidays!

Highest Success rate in the world???
thanx mycatsmom. It is so kind of you to share your experience with us even though you are completely over it now. I appreciate it so much, but I am always sceptical about anything that is so dramatic. (Philosophy: if it sounds too good to be true, it is probably is.). So, I have to ask it to you, really really really, is it like that? It does sound too good to be true. (I think there are some people who are more able to accept the unknown... like religion? Does this take a leap of faith, as does fundamental Christianity?)Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Too Good to be True
Oh man, I totally thought the Lenair thing sounded too good to be true when I heard about it. But in answer to your question, Beatle, yes, everything I have posted has been my honest and actual experience. In retrospect I would like to say that I had literally prayed to the universe for a solution to my very intense drinking problem - prayed for a long time, not knowing what to do. I had a huge resistance to going back to AA. I just could not bring myself to do it. Could not, would not. I was very stubborn. I would rather check myself into a detox before I would succomb to AA. And, lo and behold, I had to do that two times in the last two years. I had some stuff happen in my life that was pretty awful - REALLY awful - and I was mixing alcohol and xanax to survive. Course, it made things worse. In the course of things, I found out about Rhonda Lenair. I went to her website and I couldn't believe it, yet knew instantly that I would somehow arrange to make it there. It seemed too easy. But I went for it and, well, it is everything and more that you see in the testimonials. Eventually, I suspect her gift - and she - will become more well known. I am happy I got to see her when I did cuz I worried she would get too busy and I wouldn't be able to see her. Happy Holidays!!!!!!
