    Trixietrack,

    I think you probably felt totally "out of control" after 9/11. But if you really think about life we have no control. I always say to myself...."Don't think too much"...ya know? You can drive yourself crazy.

    This hit close to home for you I see you are in NYC. I had a friend that was on like the 83rd floor (something like that) anyway all I remember is nobody survived above his floor. He had to see a P doc for quite awhile and is doing much better now. It didn't help that he had anxiety (and a drinking problem) to begin with!

    Some of us had depression before we started drinking but there is no doubt drinking makes depression worse...it's a depressant! It'll get you through the night if you have anxiety but you'll pay for it later.

      Gumby, thanks for posting this. What I feel right now doesn't feel like the depression I am used to, but maybe that is just what it is. I really do not give a rat's ass about much of anything. I am functioning just fine, and I do not feel blue; I guess you would call it indifferent.
      I don't remember who stated this, but it could be about underlying anger. I need to figure out why I am so bitchy so I can fix this.

        yup - mom had it to.

        I do so much better when I take my meds. Mom didn't have them so she drank herself into oblivion until AA, Then was just depressed. I'm finally looking to her life for lessons. Connected to a sight here, Seven Weeks to Sobriety, I think, that had lots of questions about this. Anyhow, I Like MWO because it addresses nutritional aspects, genetic predisposition, and behavioral changes, all af which go hand in hand with depression. got a call (who knows). Update: 7/15/08 increased prozac cuz topa made me more depressed. Seems to be working. Amino acids and vitamins really help. Omega's especially. Keek.
