Mum died just before Christmas. We both believe in God and Angels and she spent a lot of time reminding me about these things before she left. Live is all about footsteps.

Hi everyone

The situation in Kenya is in many ways worse than what you see on the television. I as a Kenyan can't really talk about it without endangering myself and my closest. Odinga won more seats that President Kibaki yet he has chosen to insite the poorest to fight his cause, whilst he sits in comfort unharmed. Having gained more MPs in parliment Odinga could have ensured a vote of no confidence in parliment and then legally gained control as President. Instead he chose to take the selfish path, which has resulted in Kenya's demise. No one who loves Kenya would want what is happening now! The best guy is Kilonso Mysoyoka, an opposition to both parties, but now chosen as VP (Vice President).

God knows where this is going. Its very bad. But we are a special country and I only hope that my fellow Kenyans stop this violence and sort it out.

We have always been cleverer than our naighbours (excuse my spelling).

It doesn't matter who thinks they are the winner. If Odingda and Kibaki love Kenya let them undergo the same test written in the bible.

Who was prepared to give up their child rather than seeing it cut in half?........

The true mother gained it.

OK probably heavy words, but Kenya, my home of birth and land of strength is a most beautiful place. WE ARE AFRICA.

First off, I am so touched that you spent the time with your "real" mom who was dying. What a heart rending story and I have followed your posts over the last year. You were brave, you were kind, and you are blessed because of it.

Second, I truly pray, (I mean truly pray), that Kenya can get past the horrific politics of today and come to grow as a wonderful country who cares about its people and its culture.

Your posts have been fascinating and beautifully toucihng.
