Good Sunday Morning from Snowy Salt Lake City, UT!
Well, thanks in no small part to all the wonderful people on this site, I have made it to Sunday morning without my old buddy AL! A big :thanks: to everyone who has responded to my cries for help.
Tomorrow at 8:15 AM I go in for surgery for prostate cancer, so today after the wife and I come back from snowshoeing I will be "prepping" (don't ask) for the surgery and probably be on line often. I will hopefully only be in the hospital for 2-3 days then be home and on my computer for a few days.
I promised myself I would go into surgery totally dried out, to reduce the risk of any complications. It looks like I will achieve that goal, again, a big THANKS to all.
This is the first weekend I have been sober in an unknown period of time. Neither the wife nor I can remember the last time I was sober this long! I think I am at day 4.5 right now, but who is counting..besides me and her?
I want again to thank each and every one of you for the support, and to Roberta Jewell for creating this site.
To any newbies who are asking can this site help? And can I do this? You BETCHA!!! Be Strong visit here often, post, chat, get involved!

Now go look in the mirror and kiss that bald head for me! And go give your wife a big ole kiss for being so supportive. I feel sooo bad that so many people can not tell their spouses that they are in here asking for help.
