    I usually switch off when I see a wall of words.
    Seldom read them through.
    Lose the plot so don't post a reply.

        Well, perhaps it is because they are so wrapped up in pouring their hearts out anyone who will listen, they don't think about proper grammatics? I know this from experience. And I think those of you who refuse to read their posts because of this small shortcoming could be missing some very important issues that you might have come here looking for?

          I agree. Not everyone has had Administrative Business Communication or proper education in letter writing. Give em a break, I say.:h

            I do try to read most of the posts, however,there are a few who claim to be successful intelligent beings who have no idea about indentation.

                They have probably been holding it in so long, they just carry on in hope we are listening.

                Additionally, they may be on AL and just carry on, which I do believie some are.

                Aren't we here to support and help each other?

                  There may be "no harm intended", but there are a lot of fragile people out there seeking real help. This thread could really give someone a complex (someone who may really need this group). I pray not.

                    I, too, struggle with the wall of words, and start reading, but rarely finish. However, the person writing their heart out is doing just that.

                          I agree with Tkeene, Keeper, Winefree and Thankful.
                          Perhaps RJ should offer a series of reading, comprehension and writing skills.
                          However this does explain why the one word association thread, write a story in 5 words, and the "fuxx" threads are so popular.
                          Diagnosis is Short Attention Span or ADD.

                                I remember posting to a thread (about vegemite of all things so not from a fragile person)about April last year and including something like " oh and by the way the correct grammar is.............."
                                I got hounded by quite a few people and was sent pm's telling me what a bastard I was for publicly demeaning thid person etc etc., how dare I be so rude etc etc
                                The thing was I did it in all innocence as I would never knowingly belittle anyone.
                                So from then on I read without comment on grammar or syntax.
                                But apostrophe's in the wrong place's still drive me nut's.
