    SATRURDAY MORNING MEDITATION

Meditation is a Universal vibration and I think it would be a wonderful thing if those that wanted could meditate at the same time once a week. The power of meditation is amazing, as many of you know. We can use this time to heal and connect with ourselves and one another.

After the meditation those that have time and are interested can come to the board and have a dialog on this thread. We can keep this dialog up for others to read that are not able to sit. It will also be a good thing for us to go back and reflect upon, like a journal of sorts. I know some of you are interested in starting a meditation practice, so this is a good place to check in if, you want.. I will check it daily as I meditate every morning, so you can let me know if anything comes up or if you have any questions.

You can go back to my last thread for beginners tips and postures, if you would like some assistance in those areas...

I think we decided to start at 7am Mountain Standard Time so that would give everyone time to sit. Here is a link to a World Clock so everyone knows what time it will be in their time zone... You can sit for as long as you like.. 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes 60 minutes.. whatever stikes your fancy!

I hope to see you here!!

    Namaste,

      Great idea

This sounds a great idea. Meditation has always been a great boost. What is Mountain standard time? What part of the USA? Your morning is probably my evening in Tanzania.

Darn, I missed it. I am in Arizona wo we don't do daylight savings like most of the US, so I am always confused. LOL I am going to meditate now. But now I know from now on we are actually the same time.

                Good morning, my friends!

I am just going to repost this each week. I had a lot of PM saying they missed sitting last week, so I will keep posting this as a reminder. I'll try to remember to post on Friday's as well so we have a chance to remind ourselves to get up...

So happy there is so much interest!

Great idea, what do you think of meditation classes? There is one advertised in our local paper, think it said something along lines of 'Genuine Tibetan Meditation' classes, suitable for beginners. Has anyone ever been to classes? Are they beneficial? Do you need to learn a correct way? I feel I can meditate but am now thinking maybe I am not doing it properly? What are your thoughts.

                    Thanks

                    L

LOVE the idea!!! go, go, go..

Tibetian Meditation is beautiful. That is what I practice. Group meditation is a wonderful way to learn. You really do draw from others in that type of environment. I have been meditating for a long time and still find the group meditations to be very important. You never have too much knowledge on the subject.. If you practice meditation a lot it will ebb and flow your whole life - ever changing....
