I have been where you have been and I can only tell you that I while I'd give anything to have my mother back, I'd never go back to that time in my life again. You will and can survive this if you choose to sober... or not.
You are in my prayers... Together with God you can get thru anything. I pray for all His mercies on both you and your mother. May the angels escort her quickly to the gates and bring to you both His peace and comfort where there are no more tears, no more pain and no more sorrow. I pray that you will rejoice in the knowledge that our God is a Soveriegn God and some day you will be together again... as we all will in the Power of One.

You know Luv, it is said that the testimony to ones life is the character and memories that they leave behind. It certainly sounds like your mama has bestowed both in abundance in you! You obivously have great strength, while being very caring and loving at the same time. I hope that you and your children can find comfort in all of your gifts and memories at some time in the near future. I am certain that you will. I am sure that you have brought great joy to your mama and that you will continue to do so.

When it's time for your Mama to go tomorrow say what you need to say and then let her go. She will always be with you, always...but you have to let her go.

Perhaps your task is done? There are others now to carry on, she belongs to others as well.

This time with your Mama has forever changed your soul....your sight, your meaning, your beliefs, your days and your nights. It has changed the way you look at a hand or a puddle or a flower in your garden. It has changed the way you look at you.

Your Mama has given you an unbelieveable gift...sobriety.

My own mother has been gone five years. She still visits in my dreams.

As I have grown older my hands have become hers. I have my mother's hands.

She will always be with me.
