Wow - lots happening while I was away!

Kate - you are a "senior" now - :ear: can you hear me now .... I said CONGRATULATIONS!! That means you are our "poster" child! I am so glad you set everyone straight as to where I was - WW was about to send out the "wagon" to pick me up and throw me back on :H I am relieved to know if I fall off and disappear - you all will come and rescue me! So how is life treating you as you are racing toward 90? You think "senior" sister ... tune up the hearing aid cuz it's the "new" 90!!!!!!! The new "naughty" !!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday lovie! What day was it - as we have birthdays that are close!! April 3 for me!

WW - Sister - I now have U-Tube songs flashing in my head! Love the party you threw our lovie Kate - Ahhhhh - I didn't get to chip in so heres my :handbag: - take what I owe you sweets. Are you finally feeling better? I wasn't over the Kidney infection with the first round of antibiotics so they changed and was on 10 days before I felt better. Antibiotics make me feel sluggish and tired too. (But the infection could have too). Antibiotic means to kill life. The good and bad bacteria. Thats why you need to take probiotics after being on them. Also - I just loved seeing the 30 to 120 .... how cool is that! How are you feeling at beyond 90 lady? I AM TICKLED PINK for you. This is sooooo great. I have been living around AL somewhat (husband drinks at home) since quitting - and have been to a few events with AL - but I am still shielding myself from to much contact. It just feels strange yet.

MM - I am so glad you are back! I missed you so!! I also gained 4 pounds on vacation! I stayed faithful to my eating plan for ONE day and then said the Hell with it - I can't sit here and eat veggies - and I ate more than my share of everything - and feel like a bloated cow now - BUT --- I did NOT drink! So back to the exercise and eating healthy. You will kick it in gear with the PT. Hope DD is better. That is NOT my idea of a vacation - that is a FAMILY obligation! Congrats on making it through AL free. That's hard for me when I am with my family. They ALL DRINK except one sister. And the BOY TOY ---------------- CRAP! Lenny??? Just for fun?!!! But WW has the "wise" points and as long as were being wise tell "lenny" to come back in a few months. If he shows up with
1. Proof he isn't married
2. Proof he isn't an alcoholic
3. A healthy financial statement (ok - this could go on the bottom)
4. Proof from his MD that he hasn't had liposuction
5. Letters of recommendation from past girlfriends, lovers, etc

Then I'll give my go ahead .... but until then .... WW is right - DON'T EVEN GET A NEW DOGGIE -- MAYBE A NEW PLANT IS ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Thankful - Ok - now I have to ask ....... was Believe behaving in the chat room? I didn't see anywhere here where Kate or WW or MM or anyone gave you permission to be alone with the "BOY". MM will be grounding you if there was any thing questionable going on. You "kids" show up late to the party and then hang out all night ......... see how you are?!!! I love the fact that you are sounding so chipper lately.

Believe - the first time I am gone and you are on the computer all week!! How did I miss all this fun!! I was away - first to Nebraska (Go Huskers) and then left for Florida and you are in here toga par-tey and all. The AL free vacation was the hardest thing I've done so far. I confess .... on Saturday night I ordered an ALCOHOLIC FREE beer - just because I felt cheated (I know poor me) and when the waitress came back and said "sorry we are out of AF beer" - I felt so stupid and overwhelmed - I almost started crying! HOW DUMB CAN IT GET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My poor husband looked at me and the waitress and ordered me a non alcoholic pina coloda. I didn't drink those when I was "drinking" so it was like having a slush from 7-Eleven!! And this was a really cool beach bar/restaurant! It was weird - but I was truly thinking about YOU - HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU WORK IN A BREWERY????????????? I don't think I could! (And not drink that is)

Bootsie Baby - By the look of things you have been gone some. What's happening? Did the tea house deal work out? Details please! And congratulations on the 90 sister! WAY to Go - Were all growing old together - but a GREAT old - one that takes wrinkles away!!

Sun - you changed your name?! I only knew it was you because of the quilt! Beautiful! I'm gone for a few days and the whole web site changes! New toys everywhere!

Noelle - glad to see you are heading up the costumes for the parties - Believe will need an appointment with the mangroomer if you are picking skimpy outfits.

Everyone else : I need to get caught up with all the people this party is packing! Rocking!

As far as the vacation - I was wonderful. Truly amazing. Every morning I walked on Siesta Key beach (the most beautiful beach in the USA in my opinion) - sat and watched the sun come up and journaled. Each evening I felt a pang of sadness that I wouldn't be joining my hubbie with a glass of wine and his beer was starting to look tempting - but I just kept thinking of how 10 years ago I had stopped drinking for 8 months - we went to Florida and I drank (thinking it would just be a "vacation" thing) and I did not stop drinking until 91 days ago. That memory was fresh in my mind everyday of this vacation. So - after I stopped feeling sorry for myself (can't believe I stooped so low as to allow that) I patted myself on the back and let myself eat a little more than I should (yes - now I need to work on that!) but came home truly knowing what a "vacation" should feel like! It was amazing to wake up so refreshed each day! So I have lived through my first vacation as a NON DRINKER. It feels VERY GOOD! I really learned while on vacation how much of our world revolves around ALCOHOL! (like I didn't already know that but ... ) All the restaurants make it impossible to go in and not feel the not so "subliminal" messages .... DRINK DRINK DRINK. I am learning that mornings are becoming precious to me. Starbucks, Tea houses etc. all have me wanting to invest my $$ there. I couldn't believe how I found myself feeling like such an ODD BALL - hubbie orders a drink - I'll have water. It shouldn't feel that weird - but it still does. Time is helping. But it is all such a process. Not a simple one either.

Anyway - I can't wait for the next chat party. I'll bring rice cakes for MM and myself. (were working off our vacations ... remember?) I'll bring cupcakes for everyone else!

Good to have you back Living! Congrats again on staying AF. My experiece so far is that being AF allows us a little more, shall we say,"Lattitude" when it comes to caloric intakes...so you may have put on a little weight while there, but it would've been worse had ou been drinking. I know how it is to drink water at social events while everyone else is having an AL beverage. Matter of fact, i have a coupel people who quit inviting me out because of it. Not sure why, I didn't think it was all that big of a deal, we did all the same shit we used to do while drinking, I just drink water is the only difference. Oh well, AL has his friends, I have mine!!! Does get a little tempting at work though since I'm constantly being splashed with beer or whatever. Sometimes I mess something up and get a beer shower. you know that stuff gets sticky after you wear it for a few hours?

I think your point about just having some vacation drinks 10 years ago is pround, and profoundly put. AL dosen't play around, does he? Posts like that definatley give me pause, good one.

Now sorry you missed the party, I missed most of it. Thankful and I had quite the conversation though. I do plan on being there Sunday though, for sure.

Thankful, pseaking of which, did you get that email I sent you? I'm still waiting to hear what you think.

BTW everyone I may have a huge problem. My Xbox360 is acting up (love Microsoft products), theres no audio. Can't play without audio, how will I hear people sneaking up to stab me, or grenades being thrown at me? I CAN'T be without an Xbox. Especially with Grand Theft Auto coming out so soon (got my reserve copy as well). I can live without AL, I can stick to a diet, but life without gaming is absolutley pointless lol. I have an emergency fund incase of catastrophic car failure, sudden medical emergencies, etc. If this isn't an emergency I don't know what is. I'll have to go right now and get a new one. I'll keep y'all posted. In the mean time please try to remain calm...I'm sure everyone will be waiting on the edge of their seats till I get past this incredibly uncool hurdle

Oh one more thing speaking of that...has anyone seen the "Star Wars" episode of Robot Chicken? If so I was wondering what your fave part is. if you haven't seen it and you're a Star Wars fan, you definatley should check it out. Lol its so damn funny!

oh so good to have you back my darling. and so good you stayed af. i too think about lots of friends that i once enjoyed and mostly i think because we would share a bottle of wine. without that i don't really feel much llike socializing. funny. i'd rather hang with my doggies. i know i haven't been on much but yes i'm still cooking with my tea house idea. for now, i sent my resignation letter in last nite to one consulting gig and this week will finish out. and then i'll have 3 to 4 days of freedom starting next week. wow, the rest i can have. i so need it. so have been laying low as my body is resting resting resting. sorry to say believe that i don't have xbox but hubby does. and he loves his xbox. hahahahaahahaha well, am so happy our kate is a senior and MM i'm happy you have your new place and your freedom and self. and i hope that you have just that for you for a long time. one of my fondest memories is when i had my own condo and i had done it jsut the way i wanted it and i was not dating. oh it was a beautiful special time. i'll always remember that. well wonder i do hope you are feeling better. and sun i do love the new avatar and thankful as always sending you a heart warming hug. noelle i don't know you yet but sending you thoughts for a happy day today.

Liv~ Hey sister! Guess what.. the four pounds I gained on the trip miraculously just fell off! Unlike the drinking kind (we are SO lucky we don't have to worry about that).. I don't know why - mayby a gift! So, I think it will be the same for you. maybe just flight weight... lol!

So, my little one was laying in bed with me this morning. She comes down and snuggles in and we chat (my new favorite thing - no yucky breath anymore).... I LOVE IT! Anyway, they had the "talk/movie" (puberty 101) at school yesterday, she's 11yrs old. We have already talked about "it", but this morning she told me they had to watch the "boy" movie. Of course she was embarrased, but we talk pretty openly. Anyway, she told me that when they were talking about how boys have "wetness" in the night when they go through puberty she got up and told the class.. "well I guess they should just call it a 'boy period'.." I laughed my ass off.. I can totally hear her standing up with her little hands on her hips.. oh, my little princess... she's growing up..:upset::h

Well, I'm off for another day.. Things are lightening up at work and the stress is lifting. Spring is springing and I feel blessed...

I am feeling horrible today. Woke up coughing and congested, horrible headache! Also a queasy stomach!! My son sent me the most beautiful bouquet of lillies for my B-day, they have opened up and.....I think I am allergic to them!!!!! Damn!! I put them outside, and opened all the windows to air the place out.........their scent is very strong!! What a bummer!!

MM-Your daughter's story made me laugh.......what a little angel!!!

Hi everyone.

Well its the end of my days off, time to probably disappear again for a few days, although if I get a break at work I do try it at least look in on whats happening. I do plan on seeing everyone Sunday afternoon at 3 Mountain time though for our chat!!

Gr8 news BTW the xbox started working again, worked all the way till 5 this morning when I stopped playing, so I'm happy

Kate I hope you get to feeling better, sems lke everyone is getting sick at one point or another!! You gotta get better for our chat Sunday...and if you wouldn't mind maybe you could order some decent weather for next week startign Sunday? That would be fantastico.

MM yep I said Robot Chicken, its a tv show. They did a Star Wars themed episode (a bunch of claymation shorts) Thats turning out to be pretty much the funniest shit ever. Blue Harvest (the Family guy version of Star Wars episode IV) if hysterical as well, not sure which I like better. That Robot Chicken one is pretty damn funny thogh... I have it on my Xbox's hard drive and watch it regularly. When that POS is working that is..
