Gooood Evening, my lovelies!

I have only a quick moment to say hellloooo!

My darling DD is at a dress rehersal for Cinderella. She is in a local theatre house and they are doing the Rogers and Hammerstein version of Cinerella - and she is the Fairy Godmother! TOO CUTE! She is the youngest of the group.. can't wait to see her. She has three shows this weekend. She is SO not shy and has absolutely NO stage fright whatsoever, so she will ham it up for sure.. She has such a beautiful voice - everyone is amazed everytime she sings - and of course I will be the one bawling my eyes out. She told me to sit in the back so no one will see me.. LOL! Will gush with the report this weekend.

I am so glad all our little sickies are feeling better. I was going to have to start making house calls soon...

Agree, WW - I also LOVE to see all the new faces in here - what a fantastic thread this is....

And another Happy Birthday to our special Liv!!! Have a wonderful night, sweetie!

Good Day to all you 30-120's

Not much going on in my world today, just work..it's a beautiful day outside so I am working, and tomorrow and Sunday are supposed to be stormy..it figures. I need a new weatherperson!
MM-how did the play go? I hope you were proud as punch, as they say back home.
On the back home picture, my mother is 86 today. When she turned 50, we were very concerned aobut her health and wel-being, but she cut out tobacco and cut back on her drinking and started excercising. Sadly, she is now suffering from Alzihmer's, but it is not too far advanced and she still remembers us. So, all considered, all is good.

Congrats to WW, MM and Believe on reaching 90!!!! I think Liv did too, right? And No L reached 60 and our dear BHOG, reached 30 all the week!!! There is so much to Celebrate!! I am looking forward to our Sunday Chat Party!!!!!

I am feeling better........not 100%, but getting there! I am off to Boulder and Estes Part to see a couple of clients this afternoon. It should be a beautiful drive!! I will be back later this evening! Until then.....keep the good news coming!!

We lived in Loveland as the base of the Big Canyon Road up to Estes Park.

Hubby and I used to go up there year 'round on Sundays and eat breakfast.

I miss the elk, the deer, and the views.

I'll try to start writing everyobody down better. BAD secretary!!! (and ps, my actual initials are B.A.D., just in case there was any doubt ).

WW - IT's OK - not to cry:upset: - I actually turned 90 on March 30 - but who at this age can count! Were all just glad to be ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!! Whooo Whooooo! I was so happy to see the banner of success that I made my hubbie come and read! I feel like a 7th grader again - isn't it great! Your BAD - MY real life initials (pre hubbie) is JAM - funny

Kate - I am so jealous - a drive to Estes .... what a beautiful sight! Doesn't each day get more vivid?? I am glad you are feeling better. I wonder if our bodies are just finishing a total detox - as we have all been sick in the past 2 months. Interesting. Say - you need to plan a business trip this way - I'll e-mail you on that!!!!!:wd:

MM - how I miss the "fairy godmother" days. My darling was our little actress - now grown up into a true singer/dancer - oh how I adored those days. Makes me all emotional!! You just have to be loving the newness of the time you have with her. Just the two of you. It's precious.

Det - thanks for the BD wishes! I'm up for cake - any cake - yummmmy. But I'm trying to turn off the sugar button. Give me your wisdom here. L Glut helps but not much.

Thankful - I think your downstairs helping the new guests. You are going to be the Hostess for a long time. You have such a gift with making people feel welcome. Can I hire you to come to my house the next time we throw a party? I have a feeling I will be grumpy - so I need some help! (when ever we host partys I usually had to drink before anyone came - so that's why I might be grumpy!)
BHOG - my mother in law had alzihmer's - there are no words that can comfort that situation. Just big :l to you. Thats the hardest thing to watch. She passed away this Nov. But I still cried for weeks -as I miss her - even in that stage.

Good Morning All,
So I drove up to Estes yesterday...to get there you have to take a very long and winding road up through the Big Thompson Canyon. You drive from about 5,400 ft up to almost 8,000 ft! The canyon can be quite treacherous, you have to have your wits about you the entire way up, as you take the tight turns and watch for anything, cars, animals, falling rocks, etc, that might cause you to crash! But when you get to the top, the Pure Beauty is beyond words!!! Truly breathtaking, a gorgeous lake, blue and green, and pure snow capped mountains that you can almost touch!!!

This trip made me think of the journey that we are all on in our sobriety.....an analogy of what we go through to get to the top!! At any turn we can reach an obsticle at any moment, but if we keep our wits about us and stay alert, the prize far out weights anything that we must encounter along the way!!!

I thought of all of us, each one of you on this trip........my dear friends......may we all reach that valley of pure white capped mountains and clear blue sky!!

I just wanted to pop in with a quick hi ~ so HI!

Busy day today and I'm going to try and be good and stay off the boards and get some stuff done. lol Me? Be good? Well, there's a first time for everything.

Liv ~ I have to "work" your party? I'm not an invited guest? OK, I see how it is. :boohoo: Just teasing.....:bigwink: I get it, I get it.

Rippy ~ Darling welcome, but know that I feel you are in a league all by yourself! You lead, my dear, and I hope to follow! BTW ~ where's that sassy-assed avatar I liked so much? You used it for all of ten minutes and it was definately the best one ever. I miss it.

Hi Peeps!!

A quick check-in for now. My tenant has been moving in today (there is a rental apartment attached to my house), and it has turned into something of a......... 'chinese fire drill'?.............. a 'cluster f*%k'?. The poor girl (a little less independent than I had thought), is still relatively new to the area and didn't have enough people to help, and then she took way too long packing and the 2 guys she did have had to leave fast. So I got a muscle-y friend of mine here to help unload the u-haul, and then 2 of my neighbors too. And now my friend has very kindly gone back with her to turn in the truck and get her to her car. She was having a meltdown. I almost had to slap her! But you know me - I didn't - I just tried to calm her down and work her sh*t out. I hope that when this move is over, she goes back to being normal :upset:. She's 39, has a very good job, and seemed to be pretty mellow and together. Lets' hope it's just the stress of the move. If not, prepare yourselves...........:upset:..... I may need trauma counseling from my peeps..........

Wow Kate - I printed off your mountain analogy. About a month ago I stuck a post em note on my bath room mirror that said " A mountain is climbed one step at a time, only those who keep climbing get the pay off - the view at the top" ~~~ No lie. So your story made me tear up! Speaking of tearing up - WW - I am tearing with Laughter .... your renter .... OH NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! You don't need a co - dependent renter!! Dear Lord, I am going to start praying now!

Rip Rip Ripey - Hellooooooo woman! We need someone "mature" around here to keep us on the edge! PLEEEEEZZZZZZZ stay here with us!!!!! You are my "long term" abber hero. If you ever decide to MODERATE - we have to have a private meeting! I am amazed by you. :h

Ok - hopefully I will be at the chat party. Depends on how fast I can get back from the game. I haven't spent much time in Chat - so this will be new. Everytime I've dropped into chat I feel like I'm crashing someones party. Everyone leaves!!!!!!! :H:H

Thankful - If you want to be a guest - than I'd have to scold you for helping when you should be enjoying the party ...... I am learning more about you everyday.
