BHOG - I, too, loved Charlie Brown. However, my favorite of the kid's stuff became Calvin and Hobbes. If you haven't read any Calvin and Hobbes, you should. They are a riot. As a matter of fact, when I became sober, I read a "Treasury" of Calvin and Hobbes and the laughter got me through those rough moments of desire, I just picked up the book and read....

Hey don't beat your self up . ..listen I found this great website this summer . . .I was in the same position as you I think . ..a controlled drinker (vodka and seltzer w/lime . . delish!) every night was the problem for me . .. not to a point of black out for me . . .but more than enough surely . . .I knew I wanted to make a change but I also new I wasn't ready yet . . .

Had been to my doctor and my blood pressure was elevated for the 2nd time - I too suspected that my recent weight gain and nightly drinkly were finally catching up with me . . . 2 weeks ago I finally ordered RJ's book and the kudzu supplements. . . .

Started the supplements on last thursday and the last time I drank was last friday night!
the supplements have certainly warded off my cravings!! it's amazing . . . I'm already on Topomox for migraines . . .that may be helping as well . . .not sure . . .but the bottom line and point is I WAS READY . . .it was time for ME!

maybe you are not ready yet . . .it's ok . . .you are on the right path . . . hang in there and be kind to YOURSELF! . . .IT'S OK . . .
