CHAT - Booted Off

Tried talkiing to some of you tonight on chat, but here are the problems:

1. Takes too long to log on/hook up

2. Once you do, you get booted off

3. ?????????

4. What to do?

5. Don't know

Frustrating, no?

Anyone else have this problem, or is it just us Mac people? Seems to happen to me quite a lot. (I'm a Mac person.)

Same problem

I run windows vista on my pc and I seem to having a few problems also.

It may have something to do with the Java Runtime and what version you are running on your pc/mac. The Chat room needs this to be running smoothly in order to work properly. Look for an update for your system and install that and see if works any better.

Go to java.com: Hot Games, Cool Apps and donwload the latest version. If you're still having problems then I think it's time to contact admin. My computer knowledge doesn't extend that far unfortunately.

I have no problems in chat at all. Windows XP (wish it was Vista but hey, company pays for it...)

I still running XP version 2 OS with Firefox and I don't have this problem. What web browser are you using? Safari, IE, Firefox, something else? You can put Firefox on MAC as well to see if that helps. I'd install the latest Java as well, as mentioned above. firefox.com

I like Firefox anyway. I don't know how IE runs on a MAC, but you get a heck of a lot of popups on Windows, so I don't use it.

I agree, Firefox rocks. I use it, too.

I think their issues are with java or perhaps IE and/or Firefox settings. My hubby's computer will not let me "chat" and it is because of his firewall and java version. However, I WOULD NEVER CHANGE THEM because it is his computer.
