    Zoloft/sertraline.

I know nothing about setralina. Zoloft is an SSRI, but maybe milder (?) than the others... it set me off on a manic kick (not the good kind)--- but much easier than the other SSRI's I had tried. That's all I know. I'm currently off all drugs except the one that is the subject of this forum. Unfortunately.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

      Zoloft/sertraline.

I don't know the answer. All I know is that in retrospect, I suffered from depression ever since I was a teen. Zero self-esteem, no motivation, really a "lost soul." I started Zoloft with very little expectation and a lot of trepidation. I don't want to sound like an ad for Big Pharma, but it changed my life. and i'm the biggest cynic on earth. A lot of what I experienced is in the book "Listening to Prozac." It didn't make me into a happy zombie, but it made me more even-keeled, more focused, and I no longer woke up each morning with a vague feeling of panic. I felt bolder. I got my life back on track, got started in a career. SSRIs DO have a big effect on anxiety so that's a big part of it.
Sertaline is just the generic form of Zoloft.

        Zoloft/sertraline.

        Hi Star,
I have been on efexor for the last 4 years and works well for me. Zoloft send me nuts. So reading from the previous posts it seems different medication works for different people. I would say start on a low dose and see how you go with it. I have friends who have had to try a couple of diff antidepressants before finding the right one for them.

          Zoloft/sertraline.

My shrink put me on Zoloft 9 months ago and at the price of $50 per 10 ntabs I found in the Colombian recepie book Setralina at $3 per/10. I don't feel a real difference between now and then because "then" was so out of it, if you don't know nwhat I mean. Zanax in the clinic and then Zoloft afterwards... I am much calmer in my daily life without the "heresay"

            Zoloft/sertraline.

My drug of choice is prozac. I am 40, and have been taking it on and off since the age of 19. One of my good friends said Zoloft really helped her,but did make her feel "out of it". I have not experienced that wih prozac.

I have a problem taking medications every day as prescribed. I have been taking the prozac now for 5 days straight, yea....and feeling the affects.

I know Zoloft has helped a lot of people. I would certaintly give it a chance.
This is no longer a drinking problem...it's a matter of Life or Death!!!
