    My Mom is getting married!

    Okay... so those of you who have known me for a long time know that my Mom was diagnosed with incurable cancer 17 months ago. I started a thread called "Devastated" the day I found out. She was given six to 12 months to live. When her final tests after months of chemo and radiation came back, there was NO trace of cancer, in fact, they could not even tell she had ever had cancer to begin with. Her medical chart says, "Divine Miracle, unexplained medical phenomena"

    Instead of a funeral, I have a wedding to attend! She will be getting married on her 67th birthday to a retired navy pilot. They are getting married on the ocean, and I have been asked to be the maid of honor.

    Life is always full of hope and wonder, and may we never settle for less than the best!

      That is the most wonderfully heart warming thing I have heard in a long time. In a world full of such terrible tragedies, I am happy to know good things do happen for people.
      I am so touched I am really at a loss for words. How sweet to have these two second chances at a new life, for your mom.

      I wish her, and her new husband years and years of happiness, love, and pure joy!!!!
