    My past 2 years, vent

    k here goes
    I have no kids and my brothers are not exactly what one would call close family members.

    Feb 2006...my 87 yr old mom came to live with myself and (common law)hubby of 23 yrs.
    Legally blind ,deaf in one ear, but a doll. Hubby insisted, he adored her, I worked part time and could care for her.

    Feb 2006 to Aug 2006... Mother was a LOT of work, still adorable but very old and neeeding more than I could give her, hubby became very... errrrmmm... quiet. I passed it off as adjusting to mom living with us.

    Sept 2006... I asked my hubby after dinner if he would like dessert and he said "no, I want out of this relationship" I never did ask if he wanted ice cream with it. He moved out Oct 1st.

    Oct 2006... I had to find a "home" for my mom, against her wishes, beg my employer for full time and do alot of legal stuff.

    Dec 2006...ex moved to another city to be with his internet lover, leaving me with the yard to take care of (1 acre) whole house full of 23 yrs of junk to get rid of and the sale of the property.

    Needless to say I was a mess.

    I found this place...

    Thankfully

    2007 is another story

    June...Sold the house
    July...Bought a new place something with no steps so my mom could visit.
    Aug,Sept ..Just getting organized, trying to re-adjust to single life
    Oct... mom gets sick.. cancer..goes to hospital
    Nov..my mom dies
    Bummer through the holidays, but I have great friends.

    2008 so far
    I get my liver screened for cancer
    Liver is fine, but they find a growth in my uterus
    Called in for an early Pap test
    Prior to the actual pap, Dr examines breasts, find a lump
    Get pap and rectal exam..ewwww

    There is more

    Get mammo and now need ultrasound on breast.
    Get ultrasound on uterus and then got an "internal" probe...geeze, probably the closest thing i've had to having sex in 2 years!

    Oh yeah and I went to the dentist and they found "something " in my oral exam

    Just venting! Until they tell my I am dying...I am soooooo living!

            No worries! Just a big ventola on my part. I don't do "gushy" well either.

            I'm a tough ol gal, and besides, I do believe that the universe is unfolding for me exactly as it should.

              On the heels of a nine hour meeting discussing Dad's fate.. yesterday was very stressful, and I may be having to look at him living with us to.. one option.

              It is really a struggle; but we wlll get through just like all of the people ahead of us went through.

                          No, you never struck me as a "pity party" kind of person........rather, you struck me as a loving, giving sort of person, when first I came here........you helped me immensely......thank you.

                          So, I won`t give you my pity, but I will give you my best wishes and hope and pray that 2008 is your best year yet.........it`s the least you deserve. You are one dignified woman. :l

                              Katie, I hope all the testing is done and your results are negative or quickly treated and overwith! Then you can go on to have that great 2008!!
