Just a thought on newbies versus seniors

First off we are all the same.

Not one of us are new to the addiction of alcohol.

We all have something to learn from each individual's struggle with this affliction.

We all have feelings, shame, guilt ,anger, the frustration of not being able to get a grasp on this "thing" or when we do get a few weeks, days, hours...we fall back into the abyss.

Some of us are doing better than others.....

Grasshopper, "Snatch the pebble from my hand."

    Perhaps we should listen....and learn

        Thanks Dex

We have to understand many of us are at different levels of our journey.

Some of us have travelled the path together for some time, so, we are comfortable with each other, as we have the history of sharing of our struggles for sobriety.

Don't be put off by this comraderie , we are all in the same boat ,some of us have just been in the boat longer.

many emotions, too many to post. its a community, if you don't want to sit near someone, you move to another seat, simple.

pick your SPOT and be comfortable.

              oh yes
One more thought, being a "senior member" means nothing more than having 1000 posts or a paid subscription.

Maybe there is a misconception that a "senior" has moved up in the food chain, but, they haven't , they are just like anyone else, struggling but like to type.

I want very much to learn.
Sometimes, I need to learn to close my lips (halt the fingers), and listen.

Well, I am a newbie:new: and I am hoping that the more senior members don't look down on my postings as they have been there done there like most of the mtn biking forums I visit. I have never felt that here in my short tenure and hope I continue to learn from you guys that have had more time trying to beat this nasty beast.

Just because some of us are Sr. Members does not mean we have it all together and think we are better than the new people. I am far from perfect and am still struggling with this addiction (although every one of my 7000 posts has been pure brilliance which goes against what More2 said ). There is no "us and them" mentality here. Never has been. MWO is a wonderful place.
I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me
