My boyfriend never came over yesterday. I had talked to him on the phone many time. He said he would go to AA with me. He lives a good ways from me but my best friend lives close to him so I sent her over there to check on him. He has his own shop in his back yard and got drunk yesterday and passed out at his house. I have been up all night long worried sick about him. He is on his way now and come hell or high water, we will be going to AA together, he needs it to!!!!!! I think yesterday seeing me YET AGAIN he just turned to too much booze also. I am a very mean drunk person and treated him very badly for several days.

Good luck with your AA meeting this morning. Be kind to one another. Just get in the car and go, go, go. Stop and buy a cup of coffee first! Make your trip to AA an adventure and be supportive of one another. Oh... I know what it feels like to be mean drunk. I tend to be argumentive and snappy. Let's us know how you make out today, okay? The next one is at noon today and is for smokers...I don't smoke, but the one after that doesn't start until 5, I can't go to that one as my kids come home tonight at 6. I gotta do this for ME, for my kids, for my life. I will just have to endure the smoke this time and then try the meeting by my home. It isn't until Tuesday.Comment

It sounds like you and your boyfriend are overdue for a change in your lives. Doing the AA is a great way to get started. It will work for you if you let it. Make sure you take care of yourself, your boyfriend will have to take care of himself but you can still get through this together. Power to both of you!Comment

Because I am not mean until you add alcohol, Then I am instantly crazy. I can be very mean. It is almost like I have an allergic reaction to it or something. I mean when I start drinking I am happy, but once the poison starts filling me up, I get crazy.Comment
