Hi all.
I had such an amazing day today. I must admit right up front that I haven't been to church in a number of years. No reason I can think of right off hand, and maybe that is something to look into another time, but for now, this is a good news thread!
Today we went to church to witness my stepdaughter being baptised. She is in her late teens, and this is something she has been approaching on her own, for quite some time now.
To say it was an inspiring day would be a huge understatement.
To say I cried, would be putting it mildly. I was so proud of her.
It felt good there.
Safe.
My husband whispered to me during service that perhaps attending on a regular basis might help me quit drinking easier. I think he may be correct.
It is almost two hours away from where we live, but I think I may start going every second Sunday.
