Great post, Mike. I think you've really struck a chord here. This could have been lots of us. It's a freaking miracle that I've never been caught (or more importantly never hurt myself or someone else). Reading your experience makes it feel even more RIGHT to be leaving Al behind."We all have a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be." Jane Austen

Thank God you are back with us Mike. I thought about you several times. I too would like to hear the rest of your story, but completely understand if it is too painful to write about. I also applaud you for keeping your head up through all of this, and taking the time to write about your experience. That food really does suck, doesn't it? And shitting in front of strangers is a humiliating and humbling experience. Take care buddy. God bless.where does this go?

3 days of lockdown must of been hell!!. My mind would of had me going insane with boredom or paranoia. Good ole National Geographical hay!! Would of been my pick of the bunch too!!!.
Again, great to have you back mate, when do we get to read the next blog/chapter? It's really eye opening as it is such a personal account.

Hi Folks,
Thank you so much for your comments. They were very encouraging. I was still feeling a bit shell shocked and down when I wrote this. I'm coming around today. Sleeping in my own bed last night was the best feeling I've had for a long time and to wake up to silence other than the clanging of cell doors was awesome.
I also wasn't sure how this type of post would have gone over but I wanted to write this for myself too. If I ever start to forget the unpleasantness of this episode I can read this to job my memory. I'm trying to take the good out of this experience.
I'll write about day 4 thru 10 over the weekend. The next stretch involved interacting with the other prisoners which at times was pretty interesting. I heard some horror stories that would literally make your hair curl.
Boredom was always a major factor in though "G" block though so I'll probably just give you the highlights. I'm sure you don't want to hear about the "cuisine" we had in there.
Thanks again for welcoming me back. I really appreciate it.
