Hi LVT,
Don't worry, I also am technologically challenged from time to time.. hope this makes sense:
you just copy and paste the link from the little window where it says "http:/www.youtube.com" and whatever follows that. If you paste the entire link it acts like an 'address'. Keyboard shortcut is to highlight the address then hold down "Ctrl" and "C" at the same time. When you paste into your post you hold down "Ctrl" and "V". You can go advanced and preview your post to see if it worked.
Nice to see all you guys joining in! I think I may be close to maxing out my download limit so I might go quiet for a while.. but I am still following and happy to find new things to inspire me!! I am still enjoying Waterboys Glastonbury Song.
Love Jack Black.. you know he even scored a place on my teenage daughter's wall because he is so cooool! Is fun to see him up with all the pretty boys. I had not seen these filmclips.. ahahah great!
And Michael Franti.. I have heard one or two of these but I never knew who he was.. Thank You SD!! I'm definitely puttin some of them on my ipod.
OK, here is something I think of as modern classical (but you know I'm a genre dag and have NO idea).. they are very young, from Iceland singing in Icelandic - we have heaps of Sigur Ros.. the first is my favourite and the second is my 7yo daughter's fave. Hljomalind I think might translate as 'home disappearance'. First time I heard this I had no idea what it was about but found it very uplifting. Staralfur translates as 'staring elf' and makes us feel like we are out under the cold night sky it is so very evocative and full of twinkly stars:
