    A tough evening

Well, this is getting weird. It seems that we are all married to the same guy. Hmmm...no wonder it takes so damn long to get the honey-do list done.

Lucy, I think you're doing great and have made a very brave and self-loving decision. I'm just a little jealous that you're one day ahead of me!

      A tough evening

      Hi guys!!

Well, day 9 almost over!!! Whooo Hooooo. I am doing fine. Hubby and I are still on a little thin ice...but we will be fine too.

Wow, with all the drama going on elsewhere in this site I feel mighty SANE!!!

I know it will be a little up and down for awhile...for me and my husband, and last night was just my first down. But, I am better, and all your words of wisdom, both support and a perspective from my husbands point of view really helped!!

Got my weight watchers dessert waiting, and the rest of my movie from last night.

      Day 10 here I come!!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful evening!!

      With Love,

        A tough evening

Beth, my BF is learning that it's not the words but how he says them..........we are all dealing with men who don't know how to communicat properly..........you are doing amazing.....keep it up.......and if he doesn't get it now? He will.............soon enough.......
Every day is a day to start over and remember that I am powerless over my addiction. I will no longer give the BEAST any power over me - he can go straight to hell.

              A tough evening

Welcome to the wonderful world of double digits, Dr. Lucy. I don't think your hubby is ready to trust that you will stay sober.

I think that you're doing great! Don't let Mr. Uncertainty rain on your parade. You rock.

                Thats our girl!

Double digits are going to feel like a double scoop of your favorite ice cream!! (hope you like ice cream!) :l You hang in there and forget the hubbies emotions for awhile - you success will blow him away - but just one breeze each day!! Love your honesty and humility - you go girl - YOU are going to do this.

                  A tough evening

good for you hon... yippppeeee yippeeeeeeee. double digits....... so proud of you. you just concentrate on you for now. i too have to say i can empathize with hubby as i am only now finding out how hard it has been on mine with the last 7 years of drinking and well he's still finding a way to communicate it to the sober girlie here. but you know for now you have to focus on you and well for mine he feels like he is married to a new woman and he is so damn happy. he says he feels like the universe gave us a brand new chance and a new marriage and that's well only after 60 plus days. so you don't have to wait years. he's still raw. so i just know you can do this honey. stay with it. it may be a beast that is there but well it is us that picks up that first drink and that is what they've always seen us.... so, just keep shining. i'm so way proud of you.
                  :welcome:
