      Hart,

I really really hope for the best for you. You *know* you husband, so you must have some inkling of why this happened. Someone does not just up and quit unless they have been pushed, pushed hard and most likely for a while. He did what he felt he *had* to and what's done is done.

Time to make lemonade IMO, and drink *that* instead of the beer. Be strong here not weak. You'll have a much better time of staying positive in such a seemingly "shit bucket" set of circumstances. Show him why he married the best gal in the world!

We all agree that this sucks big time. Now you have to really take care of your self by being clear headed. You are going to have to make the decisions on what to do with the stuff to keep your financial life above water. Please don't fall into the depths of alcohol to try to cope with your emotions. It will also cause you to get more and more depressed. You do not want that. Stay strong. Be brave. Be AF. :yougo:

Good advice given, everyone... and I so know how the bolded feels, Boyz... that's what happened to me... a couple of times, unfortunately.

Yes, if you have to drink, Hart, go for it, but in the end, as we know, our problems are still there and may be intensified if we can't think clearly. That's why I stopped the stress drinking for my criminal case. It really doesn't help.

I applaud you for staying at work as difficult as it is. That is the responsible thing to do and it sets an example, makes a statement and will give what you have to say more validity. Good choice. I'll be tiniking of you, :l

Hart I don't have any more advice than what others have already told you just that I can honesty and completely 100% say I DO UNDERSTAND what you are going through right now. My husband came home in middle of January and told me, I think you should sit down, I was like uh-oh. Yea he didn't quit - he got fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He had a damn good job mind you with excellent benefits. I had to immediately go to my HR dept the next day to put the kids on my medical so there would be no break there and go to my boss crying my eyes out begging for any extra hours. I was in a nutshell scared to death. It took him 6 weeks to find something else and what he has right now is just a temp job. Again like everyone else has said and it's not something you don't know but drinking won't help - but then again I am not one to talk. I do know that that situation escalated my drinking alot, just the constant financial worry. I made him take money out of his 401K to pay some bills because first my income just could not do it all and second there were some (like his truck payment) that I just refused to pay. Hang in there hun, we are here for you and my heart is going out to you right now, I am feeling your pain.

                        Hugs to you

I am so sorry you are going through this Hart. Geez, a lot of thoughts are going through my head right now. I am sure your head must be spinning. I hope you can stay sober tonight, drunk talk never makes things better and feeling awful and depressed the day after drinking is surely not what you need right now.

How do you approach a man in his forties about "responsibility" and truly partnering in a marriage? First thing I would do is cut off his beer and pleasure allowance!

                          Best wishes to you.

                            Hart-

I can't add much to what has already been said. You do have every right to be pissed off, but you must put your energy into something more useful...like saving YOUR financial ass (screw his at the moment). Don't let yourself risk getting drunk/depressed so that your own sense of responsiblilty goes out the window! ONE of you has to be responsible and mature, and I guess it isn't him!

Just wondering...don't know all that much about you and Joe's relationship except that he up and quit his job irresponsibly without a word to you, and that he buys you beer when you are struggling to drink less...

What IS his deal??? Just wondering, sweetie. You are such a good person...I don't like to hear stuff like this.
