How is this new TV system going to effect us in the US

Oh yes...
Yet another bureaucratic on slot that was dumped on us. Now we have to buy some dumb antena so that we can pick up these new signals ! We're switching from anolog to ditial. Ditial is a better signal but is it worth it ? Now the cable companies can get you on ditial and then offer you High Def. ( At a premium ) Come Feb 19, 2009 it will come. What a country.....we did'nt even ask for this. Greater minds prevailed.....!

Glad to know that I'm not the only one totally irked by this! lol

Really tired of them passing things off on us for "our own good". Last I checked, we were still a democracy.
