also wanted to put in a congrats to you for staying strong in what must have been a somewhat difficult situation but at least you were with sober company. I have to share that I went out to dinner last night with girls from work and I had my diet soda in front of me and some of them had drinks, they kept remarking how strong their drink was and the more they talked about it the more agitated I got. Now mind you I am just on day 5 AF free today. Then one of my friends hands me hers and says "here take a drink" I told her no that's ok, she then say's "no go ahead," again I say no that's ok, the third time she insisted I try her drink I say in a very firm voice NO I CAN'T I'M NOT DRINKING. I think I made her feel bad as my "friend's" if you call them know I have a drink problem but I'm not sure they understand the extent of it cause they are the type that can have one drink with dinner and sometimes not even finish that one drink. Thank goodness hubby was with me or else I'm not sure what I would have done, however he can't be with me at all times, so I am going to have to learn how to just say NO!!!!!!!!!
Anyway all this just to say that sometimes we will be put into situations where there is AL around and I suppose we have to learn to just say no and come up with other coping mechanism's. We will never be able to totally avoid it because AL is everywhere so we just have to learn how to live with it around us but without it in our bodies.
Good Job
