Hi,
I felt better after a few days. I really noticed a huge difference. I had to stop taking it before some minor surgery..wow really notice craving increase and thoughts about drinking.
I had to wait 5 days before starting to take it again....today was the first day.
It's worth sticking with it for me.

Optionsgirl,

What was the reason for having to stop it before surgery? Have any of you experienced any side effects? I am wanting to start taking Sam-e too.

HI Miso,
It was on the list of drugs to stop taking 7 days before surgery potential blood thinning and more bleeding....other drugs were aspirin, motrin, st. john wart etc... I didn't get the list until 3 days before....I just stopped then....All was fine.
I am back on it. I really notice a stable mood, and general well feeling....no more ups and downs.

Thanks Gail. I just posted a thread in the Holistic forum asking for any feed back on Sam-e. I am really in need of help and prescription anti-depressants and I don't fare too well.
