I need your support! When I go to chat line and use the word minister they ignore me and go on with their own private conversation as if I wasn't there. I understand that the word minister frightens people. If they knew that I am 5th generation Spiritualist phychic Medium and raised in the worlds largest Spiritualist community and speak and do my mediumship world wide I wonder if they would tune me out. My colleges are John Edward, James Van Praugh, Wayne Dyer, Depoc Chopra, Silvia Brown etc. I know them all personaly because they came through my community and the metaphysical field to promote their books starting with Wayne Dyer in 1979 when he released his first book (Your Ereonous Zones) if you read Waynes first book it opens with him at an AA meeting. I new him then, I know him now. Now I need help and because of my high profile image where am I to turn for my alcohal addiction. I am not one to toot my own horn but where am I to turn? Wow Evielou, I'm sorry that happened to you in chat! I've never seen people ignore anyone when I'm in chat and if it happens just a little bit, I always try to drag that person in because sometimes they are shy. You sound pretty interesting to me. I certainly know those people you do, although not personally. I've seen John Edwards, James Van Praugh and especially Sylvia Browne on TV and they sure are interesting.

If you're ignored at chat, try another time. Don't let a small group of this community spoil it for you. Everyone is different. BTW, I usually go to chat around 11pm EST and I can pretty much guarantee that no one there will ignore you.

I am so sorry. I haven't been on chat when that has happened. How do they ignore you? Do they just quit responding to you? Or do you ask any questions?

Anyway, I just wanted you to know there are many different religions represented on this site and so far no one has ignored me, even when I post something that relates to my religion.

Keep chatting and posting. You will not be ignored.

More importantly, Evie, learn and post about your alcohol problem. It is a horrible problem no matter which religion or none. We all want to be there to help each other.

But like an old shoe eventually you get use to me...I can be careing and I can be Eloof, and crazy....But I mean well ! I think that we need a little laughter in this world to keep us sain !! Thanks for your responce. It reminds me of the eulogy I had to wright for my beloved black cat St. Patrick. Who was murdered by people who fear what they don't understand a few weeks ago on his birth day. He was sweet and loving and sometime aragent and aloof but didn't deserve to be drowned because a neighbor doesn't like me.

I have felt ignored sometimes too, Evie, but I try not to take it personally because I am pretty sure there is nothing intentional in it. I'm also pretty sure it has nothing to do with the word minister or your spiritual inclinations. I have always encountered an incredible openess and non-judgementality from the vast majority of MWO members.

Chat converstaions are very much like real-life ones-- They tend to bounce all over and often one person's input gets lost in the shuffle. I hope all the responses here have put your mind at ease about that.

Having said that, I appreciate that you wrote and told us how you feel. You do sound very interesting and I'm sure that many others in addition to myself will prick up their cyber-ears next time you join in chat.

It was a good thing that you aired your feelings and concerns instead of just retreating. We all need each other and it's important we speak up if we don't feel we are getting the support we need.
