    Remembering my father

Hugs, hugs, and more hugs to you Trix.

My father died a year and a half ago and I think it still hasn't really hit me yet. So I feel so much for you now.

My father was the kindest and most honest man I ever knew. I owe him so much. I just wanted to say that out loud.

    Hugs................:l
Rest in Peace, Bear. We miss you.

      remembering

I lost my mother in Feb 2004 in a single car(not AL related) auto accident. Grief is mind blowing and not at all easy to cope with if you have an addictive side. I drank socially before that,a 12 pack would last me over a week...and after that a 12 pack won't get me through a day and I drink daily now. I'm doing better, I'm reaching out as you are.I'm willing to admit I have a problem.I can't stop once I start. The lose of my mother is not a excuse for drinking I just know that is when the abuse of alcohol and lack of control began. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay strong.Just go one hour at a time if you need to.

          WW,

What a nice way to put it. I agree. I know who some of my angels are too- still miss them in physical form- but nice to know the energy connection cannot be broken even with death.

Big hugs to all, esp. trixie for starting the thead.

                Hey Trix,

My heart really really goes out to you. My dad died 7 months after my mom in 2006. It was a really unpleasant year, to say the least. I'm still trying to figure out how to deal... wish I could offer more than virtual hugs...

Those of us who were blessed with good parents miss them every day. 1984 (Mom), 1987 (Dad). My heart goes out to you.
