    Oh wow! This is so much fun!

    Born an American in the Garden State,also known as New Jersey. Both sets of my Grandparents immigrated from Belfast Ireland in the early 1900's. Thefore, "I'm an American with an Irish descent". My blue eyes and freckles can prove it! So can my real name which is Maureen.

          2nd generation German on my Dad's side and Scotch-Irish, English and French on my mother's side. Drinking genes on Both sides. What a surprise!:H

              Actually my grandparents were immigrants from Ireland on my Dad's side - so they are all the way Irish up the tree to a "Jewish" somebody in my Great Great Grandmothers side and a Walsh that was thrown in there too - before that on the Jewish side it was ........ ummmmmm

                This is fun....and interesting....I am French Canadian, with an Irish Great Grandmother. I was the first born in the US.

                  I'm Puerto Rican too ! ( That's our Nationallity ...! ) We all come from all different peoples ! I can trace my family tree , on my father's side all the way back to 1529. Only because the Catholic Church had everyone be Baptished @ birth ! ( That's why if my forefather was born in 1529....well thier were'nt any white women around at that time ! IAD !

                      Dad / maltese...you can get around this country in one day... it is a small dot on the map.

                        HI

                        seems an Irish gene maybe associated with a propensity to drink excessivley. Or is it that the irish have suffered great hardships and have had to spread themselves around the world to survive. I know here at my little beach there is a monument to the irish settlers that escaped the great potato famine and to there bravery and courage to pack up what little they had and escape to what they were led to believe was a better world in horrendus conditions on old sailing ships. Im sure the drink played a substantial part in helping to alleviate that pain.

                              Earliest documentation dated 1672 says that I am 100% Kraut and bloody proud of it.
                              On the other hand - they didn't get out much - LOL.
                              No tales of substance abuse on either side, which makes me the first (what a claim to fame).
