    100% English .... and very, very proud to be what I am and where I am from ....

    Anybody 100% Welsh ...then we will have United Kingdom sorted ... Scottish, Irish, English and Welsh ....

      Nope - just a bit of a UK mix. Born in England with Scottish grandparents. Some German somewhere as maiden name is German for bell ringer!! Ding dong!

            Well, I happen to be 100%............greenbean.

            Throw in scotch/irish on dad's side and english on mom's side (you'd think I could understand Bessie's lingo, but beans are slow to grow). I do happen to know what a bell ringer is though.

                  50% - 50% from both mum & dad - English / Scottish. My red hair - obviously celtic - has come through to both girls even though it's a recessive gene.

                  I believe we have a tartan?!?!?!

                  Born UK, grew up everywhere. Now live in SA.

                  Kids born in SA so they are now 1/2 South African by birth. Strange world!!

                    English / German on father's side (Dad alcoholic, 10 yrs sober, brother alcohlic/drug dependent, 2 yrs sober)

                    Eskimo Indian / German                     on mother's side Grandfather (alcoholic - passed away), Uncle (alcoholic - sober 15 yrs), Aunt alcoholic (trying still), Mother (borderline).

                    But, they all like to drink - heavy drinkers are not hard to fine here... the AL gene is running rampant through both sides of my family..

                    My daughter's father is Irish / Scotish / English (and an alcoholic), so she has it funneling down from all ends. This is the main reason I quit drinking. This little one can NEVER drink!! Too dangerous.

                        Born in New Zealand, Father from Australia, Mum from New Zealand

                        Both sets of grandparents from England (with some Scottish thrown in there too!).

                        Dad's a drinker...mum's not.

                              there does seem to be a common denominator here but that may be because of our common geography. Russians are committing suicide by vodka at a horrendous rate. It's not even recommended to adopt a Russian infant because of the high rate of fetal AL syndrome.

                              The liquor kiosks all over India are swamped at opening time every day.... only men though.

                              And in Africa, elephants travel hundreds of miles to get to the seasonal fermenting berry bushes and gorge and binge staying drunk for days.

                              During the Middle Ages, beer was the only thing that kept the miserable masses alive. A little protein, sugars and B vitamins or go with the rotten scraps they ate.

                              It's a set-up... that's all I can say

                                Well, I would have said 100% british but some distant relatives on my dads side are Irish travellers (tinkers) ...........

                                Thats probably where I get my curly hair and love of big earrings from LOL .......

                                The drinking I get from my british heritage though, grandma died of alcoholism, grandad was a functioning alcoholic, but never missed a drinking session and always offered us whiskey as kids, mum and dad drink every night and have done as long as I can remember .....
