--Jason D,, who turned 32 last Friday, was reportedly found sleeping in his car in a lane of traffic at the intersection of Elm and Park streets during rush hour on Monday, not long after police began looking for a reckless driver at a nearby intersection about 5:30 p.m.
According to police: Although he had the green light, Jason D. had his foot on the brake and was holding up a long line of cars when police officer Bob Brown arrived on the scene. Brown pulled his car in front of Jason D's, turned on his emergency lights, and went to Jason Ds car where he knocked loudly on the window to no avail as Jason slept with his right foot on the brake and the car in drive. Office Brown opened the door and told Jason D to put the car in park "in a very loud and commanding voice," the complaint says. Jason replied with a two-word obscenity, then took his foot off the brake and coasted into the rear of Ryan's squad car. He then was tasered and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.26 percent....
-- Police were called to the Mobil station at Park St. on March 9 by a clerk who said a van pulled in the station, but no one got out. After about 20 minutes, the clerk said, he walked out to the van and saw the driver appeared to be asleep, so he called the cops. Police Officer Russell P. came by and found Teresa W., 46, passed out at the wheel, according to a police complaint.
According to police: It took Officer P. a while to wake Teresa W., first by yelling, then by shaking her. She finally awoke and the officer had to help her out of the van. She admitted to driving the van from the east side to the Park Street location. After failing some field sobriety tests, she began yelling obscenities and was arrested for what could be her third time driving drunk as well as driving after license revocation.
James C,, 39, pulled over on March 2 ....
According to police: After using the F word in almost a stream of consciousness manner, James C., when asked how much he had to drink, replied "it doesn't f------ matter. I'm f---- already. Maybe I had 4 or 5 ... or maybe I had 5 or 6. I'm f---- already."
When the deputy had him take a preliminary breath test, James C. said, "I'm at least .21." When told he had measured .195, still way above the legal limit of .08, James C. said he was probably more like a .27. He is facing his second drunken driving charge.
Billy W., 32, was arrested twice in one night in March , receiving his first and second DUIs .. first at 10 p.m. after a bar fight, and roughly five hours later about 2 a.m.
It goes on .. a 39-year-old woman recently got her 8th DUI, I think, after they found she had gotten her 9-year-old to blow into the ignition lock device ...
